HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD
FINANCE COMMITTEE.. A meeting of the Finance Committee of the Wairarapa Hospital, and Charitable Aid Board was- held., yesterday afternoon. There were present,— Messrs E. G. Eton (chairman), W. Fisher and. J. C. Ewington. Treasurer's report was adopted as follows: Recfijpits, in eluding. £2490 17si 6d (balance from lastmeeting) amounting to £4783 0s 7d; expenditure fot the same period, ' £1450 2s Bd, leaving a crediit balance at date of £3332 17s lid. Correspondence was deailfc with in detail/ and .the secretary instructed as to the aotion to be (taken in various case®. A deputation consisting, of Mrs Goradine, Miss Gillespie and Messrs A. Donald and J. Hunter, representing the Maisterton Ambulance Society , waited 1 upon the Committer with the object of endeavouring to induce the Committee to recommend the Board to establish a District Niursing scheme. Hue question; was discussed in de«- .' tail, and the Finance Committee decided to recommend the Board to • <fcake> ,the necessary steps for the e&» tablashmnent of a workable scheme of District Nursing in this Hospital District. ' The deputation then thanked the Finance (Jommiittee for its sympathetic consideration, and withdrew. Accounts "amounting to £922 3s Gd were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
