According to the newspaper "Kieier Ntewieste Naehrdchten,'' which is uncontradicted, the Government, has prepared a Navy Bi-ld. involving an additional outlay of £17,500,000, spread over a peraod of seven years. Other newspapers deciliar© that the Government wiMi not rimitroduoe the Bill 1 , and. that) it pjurfposes studying other means of meeting the public wishes.
The. "Germania" declare* th)at a new Navy Bill would be such a sharp provocation" to EngiJJand that it might immediately lead to war. The Socialist newspapers incuse tfe "Genniania" cif hypocrisy, intended only for the elections^. Apart from the. "Ger mania's" pjrotest against the alleged Bill, the only objection® to a naval l increase emanate iirom the Socialists' and Radjfoallsi.

The Frankfurter Zeitung urges a decisive stand to prevent the prevailing irritatio» with Eingland being used as a pretext for another alteration in the Navy Law in/ the direction of an increase which was hiitflieaitp considered utnnecesisary.
