PAHIATUA CATTLE FAIK. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: —We offered -■an-extra heavy yarding, the accommodation of both our own >a.nd Dalgety and Co.'s yards being fully taxed. Tho quality, especially an the grown cattle, was really good,-«although they had not the condition of former years. The attendance was large, buyers: from the Wairarapa and the Manawatu securing the bulk of the entry. Bidding commenced brisk, and continued with spirit right throughout tho sale, practically everything selling under the hammer. This was undoubtedly the best cattle sale we have held here for a number of years, values being high for all classes, in mose cases easily exceeding vendors anticipations. Tho highest price realised was £6 17s for a pen of forward bullocks sold on behalf of Mr C. H. Arrow, and a nice line of 2-year steers of Mr John Dick's selling at £o 6s, was no doubt tho best sale of the dav.
