SUPREME COURT. THE WELLINGTON SESSIONS. WELLINGTON, Lust Night. In the Supreme Court to-day, William Jjosepth D/wane, charged with, indecent exposure, was found not guilty. The trial' of George Alfred Tracey,. on six charges of theft, was held over till thie next criminal sessions,- afi. accust-a was not in a iitstate of health to undergo his trial. CBRISTGHIURCH SESSIONS. CffHUSTGHUKICti, Last Night. At the Supreme Oourt to-day, William. George Cudby and. , Patrick Jtcllroy were convicted of breaking .and entering the New Zealander Hotel w'i'bh intent to commit a crime. Gtudby v. as ordered to come up for sentence when called' upon, and to enter into a recognisance for £SO as to his. good conduct- The accu,sed I was alsto ordered to pay £5 costs. Mtellroy was. sentenced to six.-weoks' imipriisonment. Fred Erie Bare was charged \Vitli havung on February 28th, at the' Magistrate's Court at j Christohiurch, comtmdtted perjury in gjiving evidence by falsely swearing that one Clara Goodsw was his sister, and 'that toe had to'support her and her children, and further that, on April !25tlu he had committed perjury by swearing that Clara Goodsir was his sister, and that they had the same father and mother. Without retiring, the jury returned a verdict of guilty. -His Honour characterised the r perjury as despicable, and sentenced .accused to twelve month's' imprisonment. Richard Rondeau was charged with having, between the montiis of June and 1 Septemiber, 1911, committed two indecent assaults at Lyttelton. The accused \ was convicted and sentenced to seven years' hard labour. FORGERYAND THEFT. h , WiELIiNCTON, Last Night. . At the Magistrate's Court to-day, Rbbert Reginald Brace pleaded giiil"ty. to seven charges of false pmeten- ! ces, one-of theft, and two of ery. The six of false pretences were committed in the Nelson di'strict, and one in Wellington. The flbrgery was committed at Picton ! and Wellington, and the theft at Wellington. The accused ■*»« remanded till next Wednesday' for. sentence oni the- charge of false pretences 'and theft, and comimitited to the Supreme Court flor sentence ori the charges of forgery. BREACH OF PROMISE. AUCKLAND, Last Night. . Mr Justice Edwards and a jury •are occupied in the- Supreme Oourt withi an action for breach, of promise brought; by Lalia Diinan,,/ aged 32 years, a : domestic servant, against John aged 31, builder, claiming £BO special and £SQI general damages..
