THE ELINGAMITE WRECK
. SIQUIRY TO BE RE-OPENED. (Jtsy Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. In accordance with a. special "Act of' Parliament passed llast session, Captain Attwood, .master of th'e wrecked Huddairt-Parker steaiher Eflingamite, will shortly have an opportunity of appealing against the decision of the Marine Inquiry give/11 in 1903. The ground of the appeal is mainly the fact that it .has been since proved by Admiralty surveys that tihe position of the "Three Kings," on wjhicth the Eiingamite struck, is wrongly shown on the cfhart. As it is lmipossiMQ to reopen an inquiry with the original assessors, one of them (Captain Waddilove) having been idrowned in the I>uco, the Minister of Marine has referred the matter to the Supreme Court for hearing. This was com'miunicja'ted to-day to the Registrar, and a fixture, wall in due course be made on- application by Messrs Wiltford and Levi, Captain Aittwood's countsel. The Court will be composed of a judge and two nautical assessors, to be appointed by the Minister of Marine.
