TRAIN SERVICES
A WOMAN'S GRIEVANCE.
, The perversity of the Wairarapa train service was em(c(ha.sized in. a painfuV.y emphatic manner on Tuesxlay. A Jady took a (ticket by eho morning train at Purakiau for GTeytown. 'iiiie train' was lute, bait wlieu sli-e arrived at Woodside she discovered that there was 110 connect tion, with Gneytowin.. She- waited far Boxne rtime, and then resolved, to negotiate the journey on foot. This was no pleasant 'undertaking for a woman wiho had just recovered from an attack of sickness and had paid, her full farie to Grey town. She instituted inquiries, and found /that, although isteam was up, no instructions had been given, to run the train .flrom G'reytoMm to Woodside, the ostensible reason being that there was ■only 01.0 passenger. If the lady's story be correct, tlie matter is on© Ivdhich should ibe birougjht forcibly undtar the notice, of the Minister.
