[ CLEARING SALE AT LONGWOOD. Messrs Abraham and Williams' Ltd., report on Mr C. B. Pharazyn's' clearing sale held at Longwood, therston yesterday, as follows The attendance was large and buyers from \ a distance were present. The Romney ( Hock, although a long established one, I .showed apparent signs of want of cull- 1 ing, and the fact also of the sheep not being in, the flock book added to which the sheep were offered in such large lines was responsible for the poor demand. The two-tooth ewes were in good condition, but the percentage of lambs, however, was very small, and they must be considered reasonable at from two to two and three-quarter guineas. The remaining three pens of mixed age ewes sold from 2to 2£ guineas. There was no demand for the Shropshire ewes, which sold at 1£ guineas, ram hoggets at one guinea, and ewe hoggets at 16s 6d. The draught horses were a better lot and in first-class condition, competition for which was satisfactory. Prices realised were as under: Seven-year oid mare (Peggy), SOgns; 8-year mare (Violet)', 38gns; 7-year mare (Biddy), 34gns; 8-year mare (Diana, 40), 14gns; aged brood mare, 26gns. SHARE MARKET.
