The remains of the late-.Mr Hoffeins, who died suddenly at iceville on Sunday, was interred in thflJL Masterton. cemetery yesterday. 9P Messrs D. J ; Cameron and M., J; Hi. ■ Jackson are to be recommended to the Governor by the Masterton County Council for appointment to the two vacant seats on the Wairarapa Hospital ahd'Charitable Aid Board.Mr J; J. .Guest and his family, one time of Mastertan, who have been resident of Chatham Islands- for some years, intend 'returning to- New Zealand early next year. A London cable message states that the Right Rev. Thomas Wortley Drury, Bishop of Sodor and Man, has been translated to the Bishopric Ripon. JA i Mr John King, C.E., of. and one of the early settlers of this town, is on a visit to Masterton this week. The death occurred at Cambridge a few days ago Mrs Kopke, wife of Mr F. Kopke, a former settler of the Forty-Mile Bush. The deceased lad 7 was the mother of Mrs Laugesen, of Mangatainoka. Mr Butler, who for many years carried on business in Wellington as a painter and glazier, died suddenly in the Greytown Hospital on Monday from heart disease. He was seventyseven years of age", and had resided in Featherston for the last four years. Nurse .Kirkham, of Wellington, has joined the staff of the South Wairirapa Hospital. .
