The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast: — WELLINGTON, Last Night. A prolonged westerly disturbance, which, has prevailed during the past fortnight, has a-ocpunted for wry unsettled and stormy weather in most partis of tie JJooiftnita, and especially in districts; with a» westerly aspect. The barometer continues very low in thie South. Present indications are for rain in aill parts of the country, and strong westerly winds generally. • The barometer is very unsteady, and with «i falling teaidenoy.
