NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.

WELLINGTON, Last Night
The Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Mefceo rological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:—
Westerijy winds strong to gale have prevailed everywlhiere and warm and, cloudy .weather has prevailed, with rain, in parts'. Heavy thunderstorms have occurred to-day about Cook Strait, early on tihe south"! n' side, and' later on the northern side. The harometer Las fallen everynfhere.
.Present indications are for rain n all parts of the country, with cloudy and; miisity weather. The barometo; wiill probably fall everywhere, first in Nmttfli, but rise in the Soutih after about twenty hours. Northerly and westerly winds, sta-ong to gale, are probable in the North, and westerlies veering to southenly after from. 16t o 20 hjoyrs in the South, with colder weather following.
