Tlie Buflliic Trustee interoeded, and claimed to be appointed Administrator before a stranger. Tfhe family then agreed to select a daughter to be appointed' to thie position, but the Public. Trustee insisted that his right exceeded tha't of any of tflie childrenl. Juclge EdWardis was to-day asked to deal with application's lodged on beihaii" of thte elclost daughter .and the P!u h'lic Tlru stee. Tlhe Judge, after iiea.ring joounsel', said lie w'ould givea written decision., not because there was any diouht on the point, but fior the reasfon that the claim' of tlie Public .Trustee to pterfere in the private affaire of every faultily kjoncerned in an intestate wafi of immense, importance to the public gemeralily. He stated '-thia.t he was prepared to give an order appointing Mm? cTiTunamed to be adminliistra.tar. Adult people had a nigflit to manage, their own affairs, and thie Department had no righit to meddle in l , the affiaiVs of adults.
