PALMERSTON HORSE SALE,

PALMERSTON N., Last Night
Messrs Abraham and Williams, report:—At our horse- sale on Saturday, we submitted an entry of 100 horses of all classes. There was a
largo attendance and keen competition, especially for good young draughts. Tho line offered on account of Mir R. D. Knight, -of Longburn, were a useful lot, and found a ready sale, a nice quality 6-year gelding, broken to chains, realising £57 10s, and two six-year old mares, £SO 10s a piece. Lighter sorts on behalf of the same owner made from £35 to £42 10s; spring carters, £23 to £26 : 10s. Quotations: —4 to 6-year old draught mares, £42 10s to £SO 10s; 4to 6-year old draught geldings, £33 10s to £57 10s; light draughts, from 4 to 6 years, £26 10s in £32 10s ; spring carters. £lB to £26 10s; unbroken 3-year light draughts £25 to £3B ; unbroken 3-year spring carters, £ls 5s to £24 10s; harness horses, £l2 to £l6; light hacks, £7 to £l2; harness ponies, £5 to £lO.
