FEILDING, Last Night
At ,the local offices of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company this morning, tine staff assembled to make a presentation to Mr A. T. Spain, who is being tran.sferorcl to Mastertton on promotion. Mir P. T. McGregor, in handing Mr Spain' a .terra cotfca timepiece, voiced the regrett of all those wdth whom Mr Spain had come in contact at his departure, and referred particularly to the friendly relatione existing between the members of the staff and their chief, and the high esteem in which he was held by alii of them. Mv Spain thanked them all for their kindly remembrance of bis associations! with' thiem, and heartily reciprocated their good wishes. A hearty welcome to Mr C. H. F. MacPherson was given by the members of the staff on his appointment to fill Mr Spain's position.
