NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rer. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— A cyclonic distoirhaaioe has passed over the country, with the lowest pressure about Oook Strait on Saturday evening. Bag/hi and squa'iy southerly and south-easterly winds'were followed ,by heavy rain in parts*, espeoiaMy on the East Coast, but the intensity of the storm soon decreased, probably owing to the influence of a westerly area, of low pressure > shortly due in. the South. Present indications, pre for cloudy ■and unsettled weather generally, with rain in many parts of the country. Variable wind's, moderate to strong westerlies, predominating, and barometer probably falling again everywhere after about sixteen i hours.
