UNIVERSITY STUDENT

ON THE LIQUOR QUESTION.

Two students! of the Victoria. University—Messrs Morris and Taylojr—- . addressed a meeting in the Town Hall, Masterton, on Saturday evening, under the .auspices of the No-License League. There was a very fair attendance, and the chair was occupied by Dr. N. H. Prior. The students dealt tat some length with the business and moral aspects of the No-License question, and urged to vote for Dominion prohibition at the coming. polls. , Mr Morris stated that the students did not come forward as special authorities- on the licensing question, but merely as an indication that the Universities of New Zealand were not opposed to licensing reform. He further stated that three of the Professors of Victoria University intended voting for prohibition at the coming polls. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the students for their interesting ad--1 dresses.
