NEW SOUTH WALES v. QUEENSLAND.

SYDNEY, November 5. The match between New South Wales and Queensland was continued yesterday. New South Wales, with seven wickets down for 439, resumed their first innings, earring the score to 498 —Emery 39, Minnett 57. Oxenham took two wickets for 25, Lewis one for 31, Cook two for 62, Redgrave one for 93, Barstow two for 110, MacLaren one for 112. Queensland, in their first innings, have lost six wickets for 135, the top scorer being Fennelly, with 71.

I Later. I Queensland are all out for 162 I Sims 20, Oxenham (not out) 26.

Folkard took 3 wickets foi" 28, Minnett 1 for 27, Macartney 1 for 21.

In their second innings, Queensland have scored 86 without the loss of a wicket—Jennings 36, Fennelly 41.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA v. VICTORIA

ADELAIDE, November 5.

Tho match between South Australia and Victoria was continued yesterdny, on a perfect wicket. Victoria in their first innings made 265—Seitz 75, Smith 48, Ransford 55. Witty took 2 wickets for 52, Wright 3 for 62, Crawford 4 for 76.

South Australia in the second innings have lost two wickets for 29.

WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION

SENIOR

The Wairarapa Association opened the season on Saturday afternoon. In all the matches, with the exception of the South Wairarapa-Masterton at Featherston, stumps had to bo drawn shortly after three o'clock on account of heavy rain setting in. Following are details of the matches commenced: —

MASTERTON v. SOUTH WAIRARAPA. This match was commenced at Featherston, on a good wicket. The Lower Valley team, in the first '•attempt, only succeeded in putting together 33 runs, of which Cobcroft 'itcounted for 22. Masterton gavo their opponents a couple of hours leatherhunting, compiling only six short of 200. Moorhouse (64) and Patrick (63) batted particularly well for their runs. Scores: —
