WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast The barometer lias fallen everywfhleie, with westerly .breezes geaioralllij, and fair to cloudy weatheir, warm and hazy in mos-t paa-ts of the country, but drizzling rain has fallen in Otago. Present indacaitions are stil'l for. a falling barometer, but a. rapid rise will fH'obably take place shbrtly, wiitOi & decided change in the weather, especially on the East Coast of both Island's, where strong southerly and siouth-easterly winds are to be expected. In the meantime moderate and variable winds, with hazy weather genera%, but misty and showery conditions continuing - in the soii'them-most districts.
