The Wharf Labourers' Union has called) a mass meeting for Saturday to consider the situation.
Wednesday's meeting carried a resolution suggesting that all 11:e wprkers affected by the strike should join.
It is not considered likely that they will do so.. Tliey will probably ■maintain their proseavt attitude eikT work sto tong as they are not call'ed' on to do strikers' duty. ; Hi© Labour Council discussed tlx3 situation, and condemned the strike. Tfhey supported Mr MicGroweai's •' action.
MELBOUtRNtE, Nov. 3
In re/p|y to questions, Mr Hugh 's stated that the president of the Arbiration Court had given (his opinion that they had -no jurisdiction with regard to the strike.
