Anti-European riots at Alexandria', resulted in two hundred arrests being made. Many Christians were wounded and) four Italians and two natives are reported to have been killed. Thte mosques in Cairo were illuminated and a holy war was preached. The police cleared the streets. Forty arrests were made in Oairo.
