ADELAIDE, November 3. The weather was fine and the wicket in excellent order for the match. Victoria dismissed South Australia in the first innings for 305 —Crawford 35, Chamberlain 32, Mayne 95, Stirling 52, being the chief scorers. Macrow took one wicket for G7, Brown one for 25, Matthews three for 41, and Kyle four for 64.

. The weather was fine for the opening day of the inter-State match between New South Wales and Queensland, and the wicket good.
New South Wales have lost seven wickets for 439 —V. Trtimper 59, W. Bardsley 59, C. G. Macartney 122, Sid. Gregory 32, E. P. Barbour 57, McElhone 38, Minnett (not out) 57.
Iho following will represent ' the Carlton A. team to play Carterton on the Masterton Park Oval to-day:— F. Phillips, A. Hoar, R. E. Williams, A. Styles, H. S. Claughton, R. H. Vallance, I. O'Connor, F. P. Welch, K. Welch, B. Welch, and J. Bentley. The following team will represent St. Matthew's in.their match with Carlton B. on the schoolgrouiids, commencing at 2.30 sharp :—J.
