Hie two Jersey bulls imported) by J±:- E. Eagle, junr., have passed into the pctj&cssicn. of Mr J. J. Mead, of Carle*ton. They wcc# celsctedi by Mr James S'fcuckoy for the milking qualities cf -their dams, as "welib as liter their diow records. Robents, the okler of the -two, is a whole coloured bull, 18 monthis of age, bred by Lady Smith, of Ashtfon Court, BciiiStol, "by Ashton Noble, dam Bob--beite. Ash'ton- Noble- is a son of Noble of Oakland®, whose dam was the champion cow, Lady Viola. Roberts was isihowini once prior to lea.vmg England amd secured second place in his class at the Devon and Counties Show. The oai*r bull, Ashton. Bob, is a. youngster, nine months old,, showing broken- colour. He is by Bobbie out of Wakomlbe Starstone, and was also ionmerly a member cf tttie Asbton Oaurt herd. His dam won..the second butter test, and the English Jensey Cattle Society Bronze Medal, and 3rd milk test prize at the Bath and Wcat of England and, Southern Counties Stow at Exeter, 1909 Three day* butter, fitto si«, produced from 89 lbs milk, 147 day* M also varied Oertmcate of Merit in butter test, Bath and West>o England, and Southern Counties Show, Oarldif, 1911.
