The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorolpgical Office this evening issued the following summary arid forecast:— The baiiometer ihas fallen everyvariable westerly breezes predominating. Warm, fair and hazy weather has' been experienced geuer'ally, wiirth slhjowers in the nortbern and soutiheiniimosti distniqts. 'Present indicpihioiis are for a further fall in the barometer for a few hours, but a smart rise is due in the Sbuifi', and a 'short southerly Mow will pinabably follow. Moderate to sltnong inesterliy wind's, and warm and h/azy weather expected in the meairotdnve, but a sliaaip cliange is likely to work up within, thirtyisix hours."
