RAILWAY ACCIDENT
AT SYDNEY STATION
SEVERAL PASSENGERS INJURED.

SYDNEY, November 1. An accident caused a stock train, while shiuit-ing on to a loop lane, to allow the Melbourne-Sydney mail train to pass, to over-tshoot the points jv tas the mail train approached/
The- sound, of the impact roused reEidentisi, who. were quickly on the scene, and, rendered assistance.
IThere was great excitement amJc-ng the passengers till the doors were unlocked, and'they were released. Altogether nine were injured, mostly by shiock andi bruises. One was removed to the hospital, and the othersi proceeded' to their homes after receiving medical attention.
The traffic was blocked for many hours.
Several sheep trucks were ■smashed and a large number of animals killed and mangled. Three engines aricl other rolling stock were damaged.
