"THE WOMAN IN THE CASE."
TO-NIGHT.
Playgoers aa-e reminded that J. C. Williamson, , Ltd., will introduce' their great English Dramatic Company at the Town Hall to-night, when the of successful soul stkring plays, "the Woman in the Case," will, be staged. The company is a line one. The principals are Misses Mabel Trevor and Elinor Foster, and t3iey have an English reputation of high order. The drama -wilili be staged in exactly the same completeness as it vi-as in Sydney, at the 1 ' Criterion Theatre. The box plan is at Miss Rive's.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The current programme at the Foresters' Hall was shown for the lastt time to an appreciative audience last' evening. The programme, to-night embrace* a particularly strong'combination of dramatic, industrial, scenic, comedy and comic films of a very high order.- Lubin, isf to the fore with; a screamingly funny farcical comedy entitled "Always Away." This picture alone is well worth, a visit, and is sure to be tacked on the wall of memory of all who witness. it. ' "Barriers Burned Away" by the Vita.graph Ob. is a drama full of human heart interest, which cannot fail, to please all lovers of this style of ph'oto play. "Building a Locomotive" Ist one of the most instructive pictures yet .prepared. The Cunard flyer, "The" s.s. M'auriitain'a,"'is another film of general intea'esfc,,-depicting many events taken on one of her "record trips.. "The Thief and the Girl" is a splnedid A.B.< study well portrayed by the favourite'artist® of 'this popular combination. "Love of Sxurv mer Morn" is an Indian sitory, showing the devotion of an Indian girl for her white lover. Picture plays taken from the pen of Richard Harding Davis-, and produced by the Edison Company, are established favourites, and "Van Bibble's .Experimen/t" should prove no exception to t-hie rule. The comio element is well provided for in m'any uhmorous situdies, including "Foolshead as Wiaiteir." "The Enthusiastic Photographer," "Law and Order on Bar L. Ranch."
