MUCH OVERRATED
AN EXPERT'S OPINION
(Received Last' Night, 10.15 o'clock.)
LONDON, November 1
The Times' military expert, after witnessing the German and French manoeuvres, has formed the conclusion that the German Army is much, overrated. German authorities are much mistaken concerning its invincibility. Apart from numbers and confidence in itself, high organisation is not present, nor are there any signs of superiority over the best foreign models. In some ways it does not rise above a second-rate army trained by itself.
Ho states that the German artillery is much inferior to the French.
