MONTHLY MEETING.

The usual montiuy meeting ot the Councir was lieid on Saturday, "tlie 23th inst., thetre being present.— Crs. Kumnier chair man), Dagg, Jackson, Pedersen, Perry, afi<? Isakson.

Several communications were received from the Secretary to the J Hospital Board, and the Returning ; Officer, relative to the election, of representatives to the Board. > C. Hardinge, Road Inspector, wrote requesting to be notified as soon as the work in, connection with road grants is started. The Under-Secretary for Public Works notified grants of £l5O for Mangaoronga Road, and £IOO for Bow,en Road; also-sub sidy of £l5O for Barton's Line between Dagg's Road and Dreyer's Rock road.
