Rumours of Turkish successes and the capture of part of Tripoli town have elated the public^ Ahmed Riza has ""informed the Chamber on unofficial information that it is. stated that the Italians were utterly routed, losing live thousand killed and seven thousand prisoners, ninety-five guns, thirtyfive machine guns, and great quantifies of war "material.
The War Office is unable to confirm the report, but enthusiastic processions are .being held in the streets.
