A,, motor car driven^by. Mi- M<>. Gregor, of contains ing "Messrs Bathgate, solicitor, of Masterton, J. Hammond (the aviatoy), and Irvine (chaffeur) capsized lover an. embankment on the road between Bunnythorpe' and Ashhurst. this evening. - ;
The car was 1 travelling from Wanganui to Greytown. , McGregor's leg was broken above the ankle. Hammond was severely bruised and rendered unconscious, and Bathgate was badly stunned. Irvine escaped, with a few bruises.. McGregor a.nd Hammond were taken to Feilding in Dr Wells' car, and Bathgate got up and walked •way after the accident, and has not since been seen. It is. supposed hie took' shelter for the night at a neighbouring farm, bouse.
