THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
Messrs' Thompson and Payne celebrated their second anniversary in Ma s tea-ton by presenting a specia l programme at the Foresters' Hall. It was of a lengthy nature, and contained a varied and) excellent seLection of pictures. One of the most picturesque specimens of dy vet exhibited in Masterton tliat entitled "The Swans." "Farmyard Acquaintances" was a pleasing picture, and, was much appreciated v fey the audience. Some pretty views* were shown in "Ice Effects in Odessa," while "How a Letter Travels in Africa" proved Highly interesting, AJ fine range of dramas was shown, the .pick .being "Princess and Outlaw," "Spirit of the Light," (a splendid Vitagraph picture?, "The Crooked Path," and "The Smile of a. Child," the two latter 'being by the American Biograplu Company. In the comedies, "How She Reformed Him," "Neighbours" and "Hubby's Troubles" were particularly good, and caused roars of laughter. The programme, which- is an excellent one in every resAjf, will be repeated this eveniiig f,n<J to-morrow night. The mating on Saturday , afternoon Mill also comprise a .special selection of pictures siiitnlili> for children.
