TO-DAY'S WEATHER
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST,
By Telearavh—Pr*M Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night, The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— A westerly low pressure area has developed in tlie .South, and strong northerly; and westerly winds have prevailed, with gales, on the West Coast,'and at Stephen Island. Rain ihas fallen on the .West Coast, and cloudy weather lias spread over the ]>ominioii. Present indications are for high northerly and -westerly winds, changing to southerly for a ishort time, and then backing again. Expect wee and stormy weather generally, and two short cold snaps in the, South, within the week. The barometer is very unsteady everywhere, falling and rising quickly.
