The Viceroy's yamen at Tainan-fu was burned. There are signs or grave unrest at Tiensin. The missionaries have been warned that a revolutionary outbreak near Pekin is imminent. Foreign diplomats are considering Giina's foreign and financial obligations. China requests a postponement of i the Boxers' indemnity instalments, and are eagerly seeking a loan. Yuan-Shih-Kai refuses to re-capture "Wuchang, being dissatisfied with Yuchang's preparations as regards the latter, stating that he is boastful and incapable. Yunn-Shih-Kai demands supreme naval and military command. The capture of. lehang is confirmed. - It is rumoured that Sacheng Pingi, the flagship, has been sunk or captured. The fall of Changsha is imminent.
