BOATING FATALITY AT FOXTON
A DINGHY CAPSIZES. SEVEN OCCUPANTS DROWNED. By Telegraph—Preta Atsvciation. PALMERSTON Last Night. A terrible boating fatality oceureti at Te Wharangi, a seaside resort at Foxton heads this morning. . Large numbers of Palmerston people have cottages there, where they stay the week-ends, and over the summer. These have motor launches on the river, and a party of ladies and children were going out this morning to Mr Roberts' motor launch. There was a sharp breeze and a "jobble," ami the dinghy was very much overladen, and capsized and sank before any boats could be launched -from tho shore. The whole of the number were drowned. They were Mrs Percy Roberts, pf . Palmerston North, and - her two sons; Mrs Groves, wife of Mr Groves, motor expert, of Palmerston, and one child; Miss Fanny O'Sullivan, daughter of Captain O'Sullivan, of the Defeneo Department, Wellington, and Miss Arnold, of Nelson.
