MR HOGG'S CANDIDATURE.
The friends of the sitting member for Masterton will be pleased to know that, although his indisposition will prevent his taking as active a part in the coming campaign as he would doubtless have desired, he intends prosecuting his candidature with all the energy that the' circumstances will permit. A committee has been formed to look after his interests 1 , and thia will relieve him somewhat of til© .strain of the campaign. Mi' Hogg has' already made it clear that he is no longer a supporter of the Ward Administration; but it is desirable that he should make it known, at as early a date as possible, whether he can be depended upon to vote against the Administration on a no-confidence motion . .
