[From Our Own Correspondent.] TE WHARAU. Very wet wintry weather haft (been experienced hero for the past few days. Lambing percentages throughout -this district have 'been- very disappointing. Fifty or sixty per cent, of lambs isthis year general on plaoes which 'Usually ihave a percentage of from 80 to 100 Mr Lees, wool expert, wa-s present at "Hikorangi" on Monday, to have a test examination with this year:-, fleeces, Ibut owing to rain the sheep could not be shorn,, and the examination has now been indefinitely postponed. Mi* Duncan McGregor, of Masterton, will lecture on the No-license question in Te Wharau on Saturday evening, when he should be assured of an interested and attentive audience. ( Messrs P. and W. N. Rummer, E: G. Vennell and J. B. Smith represented the Te Wharau ißifle Olub at the Faii-view meeting this week. Messrs M. J. and A. McGregor motored through to Hawke's Bay to , be present at the show this week. j
