Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast: — The barometer lias risen, everywhere, with south-westerly winds, strong to gale. Gold and squally weather has prevailed. sßain has fallen in most j>airt& of the country, snow on' high lands. Present indications > are for a steady ris© iir the barometer, with southerly windsi, strong to gate, and cold' and showery weather.
