It is stated that ballot papers have I>een circulated amongst members of the Merchant Service Guild, asking for a definite pronouncement from individual members as to whether the Guild will cancel its registration, under the Arbitration Act or not. OHRrSTGHUROH, Last Night, , Mr Watson, of the Merchants' Service Guild, who passed through Ohristehurch to-night on his way from Dunedin to Ohristehurch, told a reporter that ho did not thinkth*re was much, chance of/a settlement ibeing effected in the coastal shipping trouble.
