THE ELECTORAL ROLLS.
There is a suspicion abroad that the method which has been adopted in purging the electoral rolls of the Dominion has been far from satisfactory. The telegram which was read in the House of Representatives yesterday from a Christchurch clergyman shows that there is a good deal of apprehension in the minds "f the public. The Prime Minister has promised that he will give further explicit instructions to the Registrars of electors; hut the impression is gaining ground that, with th<; limited time at the disposal of Registrars, it will .be impossible to pu+ the rolls in anything like order. It is satisfactory to know that, so if a" as the Masterton rolls are concerned, the Registrar has been scrupulously careful in his method of purging.
