The Finance Committee report showed a debit balance of £1758 15s. Accounts amounting to £lOl 18s 5d were recommended for payment. The report was adopted. MEMBERS' COMMITTEE. The report of the Members' Com- \ mittee was read, and about sixty new members were elected. v DONATIONS. The Wellington Racing Olub donated a sum of £l2 10s as prizes for horse® at the next shbw. Messrs; Abraham and "Williams, as ! •agents for R. 'Robertson <and Son, proprietors- of the "Highland" sheep dips,- advised that a silver cup was being donated for competition in the sllveep classes. The Hereford Breeders' Association intimated that a gold medal wiifs being donated for the 'best Hereford bullock, any age, at. the coming show. It was decided to write, thanking thr donors. • SHOW TRAINS. • Mr Edwin H'all, Secretary of the N.Z. Agricultural Conference, forwarded. a letter received from the Minister of Railways with reference t< the resolutions passed by the re- , cent Agricultural Conference, urging that better provision be made for show stock.— The Minister stated that where the amount of stock was sufficient the Department at present rar .special trains. If the requirements in any (particular district necessitated additional trains or faster services., the question wall be considered if special proposals are made. Mr D. McGregor stated that some improvement was required in the matter of travelling show stock. He thought, this a matter for the A. and . P. Conference. 'lire letter from Mr Hall was- received. CLYDESDALE BRIEEDERS. Mr Arcliibald asked that Clydesdale ibreeders attend a meeting to-be held at Hastings on October 18t(h. It was' decided that. Mr R. J. McKillop, showing the takings' of the Association at the last Rami Fair in respect to the sale < i flock rams. Mr McKillop pointed out that some inconvenience and delay had been occasioned at the- last fair in consequence of certain buyers' insisting on 'higher prices as their stock was being sold. It was decided that itlie matter be referred to the ißam Fair Committee, with power to take such action iu it may think necessary. MARSHAL STEWARDS. Marslial (stewards were appointed for the various clas&es in the programme of ths next show. With a few exceptions, the same stewards as last year were re-appointed. * JUDGES. A sub-committee was sec up to select judges for the next show. iRiESIGINATIONiS. Four resignations, received from members wilno 'have left the district, were accepted.
