WAIRABAP/ ASSOCIATION
• A meeting of the _ WairaKapa Atliletio Association was 'held in the Exchange Buildings on Saturday . last. Delegates were present: Messrs J. B McKenzie and W. Gillespie (Wairarlapa Caledonian Society); T. G. Hoar (iMangatainoka Sports Club); A. Thompson (Gladstone Sports Club); P. C. Jorgenseii (Maurioeville Sports Club); G. R. Sykes (Martinborough Caledonian Society); C. A. Tabuteau (Ahiaruhe Sports dub); Robi. .McKenzie (Kopuiaranga Sports Club) 1 ; M. Lavery (Langdale Sports Club.) Correspondence was received: from the Wellington asking the Wairarapa Centre" to consider the question of amalgamating, and. thus forming a strong centre with the headquarters in Wellington. It was resolved that the President, and Messrs W. Gillespie and' R. McKenzie be" appointed a committee to meet delegates from the Wellington Centre. Mr J. B. MoKenzie tendered his resignation as President, and Mr C. A. Tabuteau as Secretary. Both resignations were accepted' with regret, and it was ordered to be reoorded in the minutes regarding the valuable services rendered by the above gentlemen in the past. The following officers were elected for the ensiling year President, Mr M. Lavedy; Vice-President, Messrs T. G. Hoar and Robt. McKenzie; Secretary, Mr Andrew Thompson; Treasurer, Mr G. R. Sykes. On the motion of Mr Lavery, it was decided to hold monthly meetings of 4he Association, and that a report of the meeting be printed and forwarded to the. Seoretary of each affiliated club.
