FLIGHT FROM CHRISTCHURCH
A race was flown from Christchurch, an airline distance of 230 miles, on Saturday, under the auspices of the Masterton Homing Pigeon Club. The result of the race was as follows: —
F. Rosson's "The Brick," velocity 1000 yds per minute J. Dixon's "Timothy," velocity 998 yards per minute W. Gourlay's "Avalanche/'' veloc-
ity 997 yards per minute 3 W. Drake's "Little Mary/* velocity, 996 yards per minute 4 W. Hoar's "Beetemall/ > velocity 950 yards per minute 5 A. Miller's and F. Keen's were the only other lofts lepresented.
The next raoe will le flown from Taumarunui (180 miles) on Thursday next.
