THE MASTERTON AMATEURS. . On "Vyednesday week, 25th inst., the Masterton Amateur Theatrical Society will stage Alfred Cellier's charming comedy opera, "Dorothy." This beautiful old opera abounds in quaint 'iJJid oatchy music, the well-known f&vou rites being "You Swear to be Good and True," "I iStand at Your Threshold. Sighing," "Visions Bright," "With Such a Dainty Maid," and the magnificent "Hunting Chorus," which closes the second act. The libretto is bright and witty, a veritable whirlwind of fun being provided by the inimitable "Lurcher," the sheriff's : officer. A series of successful- rehearsals hiave recently been held, vdiich have furnished evidence that the performers are perfect in their respective parts, and will give a creditable evening's entertainment on the mights of the 25th and 26th. Reserved tickets may be procured from the \ Dresden- Piano Co., wliiere the box plan opens on the 18th.
