Messrs Dialgety and Co., Ltd., report having held tlheir usual fortnighitly at Eketahuna on Ericiay, the 13th. inst. Entries, came in in excess of advertised nxunbers', and sold freely under the hammer, giheep in most ;.. cases* reaching prices aibove the ven- '*■■* .'dors' expec'iationis. There was'-good ' demiand for hoggets of good quality, ■ likewise ewes and lamJbs/''. ( V We quote:—; Sheep: p Hoggets/ •■" best, J .is, lid; other sorts, firom 12s 8d to 13s Hkl; ewes and la-mibs to 14s 3d; wethers, 15s; empty ewes, 13* 6d to 15s; fat ewes, 15is, 15s lGd to 16s 6d. Cattle: Yearling steers, £2 4s, 6d to £2 lis.; diairy cows, best sorts, to £8; poorer classes £4 7s. 6d to £6 15b.; mixed 1 yearling® £2 2s 6d; empty cows, £3 2s 6d to £4.
