COMPARISON OF PRICES. (Received Las- Night, 10.35 o'clock) LONDON, October 11. At the wool sales', the amount sold for Home was 58,000 bales for the Continent, 40,000 for the United States, and the number held over was 2/.000. (Continenctial 'buyers sought for fino merinos, and Yorkshire buyers operated largely for slipes and crossibreds (greasy). Compared with the July closing rates, fine merinos were unchanged. 'Aa erage sorts generally declined 5 per cent. New Zealand scoureds were in strong request, with prices imehanged. Medium: scoureds declined five per cent., and inferior ten por cent. Ureasyj crossibreds, • were slightly. firmer, fine medium closing •with ,a decline of five to, seven, and a half per cent., and coarse par, to five per cent.
