THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The matinee and evening enter- ] tainments; at the Foresters' Hall on Saturday drow crowded and appreciative houses. There is no,lack of variety in the new series of. pictures to ibe,produced at the Fores/tiers' Hall to-night. The latest Pathe's Animated Gazette contains some really good views of the recent strike troubles in England, and also of ..the disastrous fire in the fashionable Carlton Hotel, at whicli several lives were lost. The Cine Company are worldrenowned film producers of the highest standara, and in their superb ' effort "The Bride of the Nile," they liave achieved a magnificent triumph. The picture is described as a- classic art study, and in acting, setting, staging, dressing, and photographic quality is-second to '-'The, ~,„ Heart and.ihe. 'Eye".is aprefty little. . love story told in a masterly, manner. "The Wooing of Winifred" ia an excellent humorous comedy. '.'The •: Disreputable Mr ißegan'/is by; Edison. Company, and (taken from the pen of Richard Harding Davis. It is a strong photo-play dealing with life in the lower east side of New York. The comic element is well up to the standard, and -will no doubt highly amuse the audience at the Foresters' Hall. Messrs Thompson and Payne intend to commence the erection of their new theatre adjoining the Foresters' Hall next month.
