ATTHE SOLWAY PICNIC.

The result or tue weignt guessing competition at the Solway picnic was made known yesterday. The exact live weight of the lamib was 801bs., and this was guessed iby Mrs Poole, of (East Taratahi. The weight of the pag was llllos. The nearest guessers were the Rev. Father Harnett <llslbs), and Mr A. H. Vile (1071bs). These wall divide the prize. There was a marked disparity in the guessing for.the woight of the lamib. The lowest weight guessed was< 32£lbs, and the highest 2101bs.
