Lloyds have asked Sir Edward Grey (Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs) to urge upon, the Italian and Turkish Governments the great importance of allowing liglits to continue to burn on the highways of commerce, particularly the Aegean and Red Seas and the Dardanelles, where their absence will interfere with the grain trade. Italian ships engaged in the Black Sea trade are not insurable.
