Beautiful weather prevailed for the ceremony of blessing the new Catholic Church, which is said to'be the largest and one of the most handsome in the Dominion. The exterior is striking; and the interior is very fine indeed. The church was crowded at the special service. It was an impressive ceremony and service,, in which four bishops took part, Bishop Cleary, of Auckland, preaching.
