MAKURI POWER SCHEME.
a. DEPUTATION ON THURSDAY* . The Minister for Public Works (Hon.: R. McKen/ie) has intimated that he. will- receive the deputation on the Makuri power scheme, on Thursday next, at noon. T/he following will comprise the deputation so far as at present (known, but there will probably be additions:— Messrs W. W. McCardle (Mayor), W. Wakeman (President Pahiatua. Chamber of Con>merce), Nathan (Palmerston North Borough. Council), A. McFarlane-(l-'resident Pahaatiua-Akitiq A. and P. Association), A. Ross. (President Pahiatua Central Branch Farmers'' Unr ion) Murray (Chairman Akitio County Council).
