The season has now taken"a favoura.be turn, good growing showeris having fallen. An epidemic of measles, fever and influenza has laid a large number of residents aside just lately, and some dangerous cases are reported. If great care is not taken by -those affected iby way of disinfecting and isolation, a general outbreak may be expected. Some fine flocks of lambs are to be seeoi in surrounding paddocks which, owing to the mild weather, look very forward. With a "good growth of grass now, fanners should obtain some high' percentages. Mr Ooombes, the local schoolteacher, lia® resumed duties after an attack of influenza. Mr Fleming-paid'his annual visit to our school last Thursday. The attendance is very low at present, owing to so much sickness;
