Tiio monthly meeting of the Board of Managers of Technical School was held lac*, night, there being present,— Messrs W. H. Jackson (chairman), E. Feist, J. M. Coradine, and C. E. Damiell. An apolog/ for absence was received from Mr E. *H. Wadding-ton. The Treasurer re-ported a balance at last 'meeting of £ll4 6s Gd, reotipts since £49 7s 6d, expenditure £l6t 18s 4d, debit balance at date, £6 4& 4d. The secretary was instructed to make arrangements for the holding of an examination in woo Massing on Saturday next. Mr E. L. Lees will be the examiner, and certificates will he awarded to the isaiccessful pupils.
The chairman reported lhavdng gone into the question, of the- proper equipment of the dressmaking and art class room®. He stated that the (amount required was £32 s£, of wihich he thougn't the Department would pay half.
It was. resolved to have.' the necessary work done, and the secretary was instructed to write to the Department,, asking for a. subsidy towards tlie extra equipment. I
The secretary was authorised to remit and reduce fees in cases'where pupils are unable to finish the term, or when they start half way through. On tlie .motion of Mr tDiamiell, the chairman was accorded a vote *f thanks for liaving carried out the duties off secretary during Mr Bunting's illness.
Mr Ooradine was* appointed visitingmember for the .month. .
